A.W. Mercer has been in business since 1926. Located in Boyertown, PA the company has drawn on the local skilled craftsmen who have dedicated themselves to the tradition of engineering and manufacturing quality products for our customers. Our state of the art facility, built in 1989, is located in the Ironstone Corporate Center.

Our entire facility is committed to the highest quality production available. Technological advances and processes have allowed us to provide our customers with diversified product and custom manufacturing capabilities. This is accomplished in our 69,000 square foot plant in Boyertown , Pennsylvania .

Our state-of-the-art equipment includes lasers, shears, turret punch presses, punch presses, hydraulic press brakes, spot and ARC welders and a host of other processing and forming equipment that streamlines our fabricating operations for efficiency. Our automatic forming machines, the CNC controlled Salvagnini Flexible Forming System, and the RAS 7926 Multibend Center , are revolutionary in the sheet metal forming industry.

A. W. Mercer utilizes environmentally responsible processes for application and finish coatings. Parts are thoroughly rinsed in a solution of iron phosphate for degreasing and butyl cello solve for cleaning. The parts are then rinsed with clean water before proceeding to a third rinse in a non-chromic coating to prevent rust.

Powder coating is an environmentally friendly way to finish your products. Powders are available in epoxies, urethanes and polyesters in a wide range of standard and custom colors. To minimize downtime, A.W. Mercer has three booths used to powder coat. A manual electrostatic spray booth and two automated programmable booths that run on our continuous overhead monorail system. These systems offer a superb, durable finish every time
